  • 1.  Entrepreneurial Simulations

    Posted 02-19-2007 10:51
    Sir:

I am a professor of entrepreneurship at American University in Washington and am considering including an entrepreneurial simulation in my graduate level entrepreneurship course. The course is centered on planning, starting and running an entrepreneurial venture to include the development of a business plan.  Could you foreard to me references to such simulations that would be suitable for a 16 week graduate course in entrepreneurship?  A short description of the simulation and the contact would be very helpful.  I would be most
    appreciative of your reply.

    Sincerely,

    Lee Miller

I have used Threshold Entrepreneur with good results in my undergraduate entrepreneurship class (mostly seniors). I would expect that it would also be OK for a graduate level class, as long as they have not already exposed to a simulation like MarkStrat. Our MBAs use MarkStrat in their core marketing class, which already gives them a simulation experience before they get to my class (and MarkStrat is more complex and flashy in its features...but is not really on target for an entrepreneurship experience).
