SUBJECT TO BUDGET APPROVAL
Position Announcement Outstanding Business Faculty Needed
If you are seeking a great opportunity to focus on teaching in a liberal
arts setting, but with a hint of the challenges of graduate courses as well,
look no further.
Benedictine College seeks an energetic business faculty member (rank open)
to join 9 colleagues in a growing Department of Business beginning Fall,
2007.
The Department is seeking dynamic leadership to implement its vision of
excellence throughout the undergraduate program and put the Department on
the map. A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both
internal and external constituencies is expected. The ideal candidate will
possess an earned doctorate (ABD considered and MBA desirable) in any
business discipline with Accounting, Finance and International Business as
areas of need; demonstrated excellence in and enthusiasm for undergraduate
teaching and a commitment to the Catholic and liberal arts educational
tradition. Teaching responsibilities will be primarily in the undergraduate
area with opportunity for occasional graduate teaching. Administrative
leadership is possible for the right person. Preference will be given to
individuals with teaching, consulting and business experience, and who have
demonstrated interest in the integration of business disciplines and the
utilization of alternative learning styles, such as collaborative learning
and distance education.
Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
