Dear colleagues:
The institution of academic sabbatical is long standing, and should be a great developmental opportunity for academics. The sabbatical can make or break a possible career leap for the scholar undertaking it and should provide benefits to both his/her employer and the institution where she/he may have visited during the sabbatical, thus making the sabbatical of high importance and consequence for individuals and academic institutions.
Nevertheless, there is little guidance on how to reap large benefits from a sabbatical. This workshop brings together scholars with significant knowledge of the sabbatical process to help individuals make the most of their sabbaticals.
The panelists, Tim Douglas Hall, Micki Kacmar, Jone L. Pearce, Rosalie Tung and Yehuda Baruch, are all well-known scholars in the field. They will share their experiences and offer suggestions for how you can have a successful sabbatical.
Make plans to to attend this interactive development workshop on Sunday, 5th August, 10-12 am, Convention Center, room 108B. No preregistration requirement. If you have questions, please contact Yehuda at y.baruch@uea.ac.uk
Sincerely,
