Dear ENTREP colleagues,
This is for PhD students who want to take a course on open innovation - there is still space but limited time to sign up!
For PhD students in all possible domains, we are organizing a PhD course on 'Open innovation: An emerging perspective on science-based innovation and entrepreneurship' (https://phdcourses.ku.dk/DetailKursus.aspx?id=101647&sitepath=NAT). The source will be held from January 30 until February 3, 2017 at University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Science, which is the country's largest natural science faculty. It is a 2 ECTS course that is mainly focused on the activities during the week with credits being awarded on the basis of course participation. The course will be very dynamic and interactive with a focus on understanding what openness means for innovation and entrepreneurship among university scientists and their organizations. We will specifically focus on the opportunities and challenges for PhD students in terms of their current activities and future career prospects.

- Uli Stilz, Vice President, External Innovation & Academic Partnerships, Novo Nordisk
Last year, we had a very good and constructive course with students from six counties and from various domains, such as natural science, health, engineering, business, and management. This is what some of last year's students said they learned form the course:
- "I think the course had a good mixture between theoretical elements/presentations and real life examples and that the interaction between these elements were really good."
- "The most valuable things I learned from this course is about networking, IP licensing, how to be open to find and solve our own problems."
- "Open Innovation is not necessarily applied only with business and management domain, but also is valuable to scientific research."
