The Rohrer College of Business of Rowan University is accepting applications for Rohrer Professor of Entrepreneurship for academic year 2007-2008 beginning September 1, 2007. The Rohrer Professor of Entrepreneurship is a renewable, three-year, tenure track appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
The Rohrer College of Business is AASCB accredited and offers a B.S. in Business Administration, a B.S. in Accounting, and an MBA. The Management/MIS Department is one of three academic departments within the College of Business, and offers undergraduate specializations in Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Management and MIS within the B.S. program in Business Administration, and supports the graduate specializations in Entrepreneurship and Management in the MBA program.
The Entrepreneurship program was recently ranked 17th in the nation by The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine based on the entrepreneurial emphasis of the curriculum, mentoring, experiential learning, faculty credentials and the success of graduating students and alumni.
Responsibilities include directing Center for Innovation and participating in Rowan University Innovation Center, Entrepreneurs Forum of Southern New Jersey and Nonprofit Development Center activities; providing leadership in advancing project-based learning curriculum and in business and economic development outreach efforts; conducting campus and community programs and developing funding sources for those activities; teaching entrepreneurship, consulting and/or small business/entrepreneurship; advising students; mentoring undergraduate Rohrer scholarship students; participating in learning outcomes assessment program; maintaining an active research agenda in support of quality teaching; and participating in service activities.
Applicants at the associate rank must also have at least five years of successful teaching experience, a record of distinguished scholarship, and progressive leadership responsibilities in entrepreneurship. Applicants at the full professor rank must have a record of demonstrated leadership in teaching, scholarship and service in entrepreneurship. A strong interest in, and commitment to, excellence in undergraduate education is required.
