    Hi all,

I get asked frequently where entrepreneurship scholars can find validated measures for use in their research. Here are 3 good options...and, if you have a great resource (e.g., book, website, etc.) please email me a quick note and I'll summarize and post it to the listserv.

    1. Coviello, N., & Yli-Renko, H. (2016). Handbook of Measures for International Entrepreneurship Research Multi-Item Scales Crossing Disciplines and Contexts. Northhampton, MA: Edward Elgar
DescriptionThis great book has over 200 scales from over 800 possible measures. The scales fall into eight categories: • Individual-level influences • Firm and team-level influences • External environmental influences • Relationships, networks, and social capital • Organizational learning • Capabilities • Orientation and strategy• Performance and innovation outcomes...AND, for a 35% discount use the code: COV35Weblinkhttp://www.e-elgar.com/shop/handbook-of-measures-for-international-entrepreneurship-research

    2. Fields, D. (2002).Taking the measure of work: A guide to validated scales for organizational research and diagnosis. Thousand Oaks: Sage.
Description: About 100 measures from job satisfaction to commitment to job characteristics, stress, roles, work family-conflict, P-O fit, workplace behaviors and values.

    3. Robinson, J. P., Shaver, P. R., & Wrightsman, L. S. (1991). Measures of personality and social psychological attitudes, Volume 1. New York: Academic Press.
Description: Lots of great measures including well-being, trust, depression, anxiety, locus of control, sex roles, values

    Best, Jeff

    Dear Jeff:

Thank you for raising this topic - I believe this is really important. I
    have two hints:

First, there is a publicly available Wikibook called "Handbook of
Management Scales". This is a collection of many different multi-item
scales to measure constructs in empirical management research and the
Wiki points its readers to the original research as well. It's available
    here:
    https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Handbook_of_Management_Scales#Critical_Introduction

Second, I have edited a special section on "Measuring Entrepreneurship"
which is forthcoming in the International Journal of Entrepreneurial
Behavior & Research. We have new scales on

    - entrepreneurial intent,
    - opportunity recognition and opportunity exploitation,
    - entrepreneurial self-efficacy,
    - entrepreneurial bricolage behavior and
    - an innovative behavior and innovation support inventory that might be
useful in the corporate entrepreneurship setting.

My forthcoming editorial is available on Researchgate and those who are
interested in the measurement instruments can get in touch with the
authors of this special section easily. The IJEBR special section is
forthcoming early in 2017 and I am sure that the authors will be happy
to share their preprint versions with everyone who might be interested:

    All the best

    Andreas
