    Sustainability, leadership and diversity sub-theme call for papers

     

    We invite proposals for presentations, round table discussion, and academic papers on a wide range of topics related to sustainability, leadership, and diversity. Under this theme we call on scholars of leadership, business and organization studies, environmental studies, and the humanities, as well as practitioners to address both specific and broad sustainability research areas and sustainable leadership practices that deal with leadership and diversity issues.

     

    Possible areas are suggested below:

    How are individuals, organizations, communities, and countries leading in efforts to provide innovative sustainability solutions to major social and environmental challenges?

    How can leadership theory better address sustainability issues that affect diverse stakeholders in local, regional, and global contexts?

    How can action research, multidisciplinary approaches, and dialogical methods be used to expand the boundaries of conventional leadership theories as applied to sustainability challenges today?

    How can theories on leadership and diversity stimulate insights regarding sustainable solutions to major social and environmental challenges?

    What is the meaning of responsible leadership in light of the 17 leadership challenges connected to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)?

    What are the interconnections between cultural, spiritual, and biological diversity and leading for sustainability?

    How are indigenous people and their specific traditional knowledge leading with regards to sustainable solutions to major social and environmental challenges?
