    Assistant/Associate Professor Position in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Organization Theory at California State University, Long Beach

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    The Management/Human Resource Management Department of California State University, Long Beach is recruiting for an Assistant or Associate tenure-track faculty member with research and teaching interests in Strategic Management, Organization Theory, Entrepreneurship, and/or General Management (with emphasis in Strategic Management subjects).  The position is available August 2017.  ---  Subject to approval by the Provost.

    SALARY:  Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:       Ph.D. in Strategic Management, General Management, Entrepreneurship, Organization Theory or related areas.  Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2017.  Demonstrated ability or potential to teach Strategic Management and related management subjects effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Demonstrated potential for (1) scholarship leading to publication, (2) curriculum development, and (3) service contributions to the department, college, university, and community.  Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.

    DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:       Prior teaching experience at the university level; related business, professional, or managerial experience; potential to develop relationships across the university's surrounding community and published research in the field.
