    About Politecnico di Milano and the School of Management

    Politecnico di Milano is a state-owned university specialized in the area of Engineering, Architecture and Design since 1863. It is currently ranked among the most outstanding European universities in many research areas. Politecnico is organized in 17 departments and comprises 9 Schools of Engineering, Architecture, and Industrial Design.

    The post-doctoral assistant will be based at the School of Management, the second largest business school in Italy, and will become part of the Entrepreneurship, Finance and Innovation research group headed by prof.     What we are looking for

    ·        You hold a doctoral degree in Management, Economics, Finance, or an equivalent degree. The degree requirements need to be fulfilled at the start of your appointment;

    ·        In your doctorate, you have distinguished yourself as a promising researcher in the field of entrepreneurship or in the field of entrepreneurial finance;

    ·        You are profoundly interested in coaching students in the Bachelor's, Master's and/or Advanced Master's programs;

    ·        You may present relevant scientific publications in (inter)national peer-reviewed academic journals that are widely disseminated.

    Your tasks

    ·        At least 70% of your assignment will be spent on academic research in the field of entrepreneurship or in the field of entrepreneurial finance;

    ·        You will assist in teaching activities at both undergraduate level (Bachelor's or Master's level) and postgraduate level (MBA or Advanced Masters);

    ·        You will counsel Master's students in their exercises and Master's dissertation;

    ·        You will counsel doctoral students.

    What we can offer you

    ·        We offer you a 2-year appointment, which may be renewed for another year, on condition that the work carried out in the previous 2-years was given a positive evaluation.     ·        Your appointment will start by 15/01/2017 at the earliest.

    ·        Your remuneration will be 22,000 €. You are supposed to pay 10% to the Italian National Institute of Social Security. You might earn additional money by participating in funded research projects and assisting in teaching activities either at undergraduate or postgraduate level. Moreover, the School provides monetary bonuses for publications in FT45 journals.
