Dear Friends and Colleagues, please join us in Anaheim for a symposium: "Beyond Kickstarter: Understanding The Platforms Behind Crowdfunding & Opportunities For Research"

Organizer: Gary Dushnitsky, London Business School
Panelists: Lee Fleming, U. of California, Berkeley, Cristina Rossi-Lamastra, Politecnico di Milano, Mike Wright, Imperial College London, Bryan Kaiser Stroube, London Business School

The crowdfunding phenomenon has experienced explosive growth over the last few years. Most studies to date have investigated only a handful of crowdfunding platforms. The purpose of this symposium is threefold. First, call attention to the fact that there are hundreds of active platforms to date. Second, investigate the extent to which investment patterns are persistent across platforms. Third, gain further insights into the role of the platforms and their operators within the broader landscape for entrepreneurial finance.

    Session Type: Symposium
    Program Session: 1152 | Submission: 10060
    Scheduled: Monday, Aug 8 2016 1:15PM - 2:45PM at Hilton Anaheim in Avila A

Looking forward to meeting you in Anaheim.

    Best regards

    Cristina Rossi-Lamastra
