Dear All,
We would like to invite you to attend the caucus on "Classics in Entrepreneurship Research and Their Impact on Scholarship Today" at the 2016 Academy of Management conference in Anaheim, California. The caucus will be held on Tuesday, August 9th from 9:45am - 11:15am in Anaheim Convention Center, 304D.
Content: Classics- defined as well-respected seminal articles that define the direction of an area- play a crucial role in the development of research in any field of academic inquiry. Given the young age of entrepreneurship as a research field, researchers in entrepreneurship have not yet had to grapple with identification and discussion of classic articles in this area. However, as entrepreneurship research gains legitimacy with specialized journals, dedicated conferences, and doctoral education, it is now time to turn towards identifying and understand the contribution made by classics in the development of entrepreneurship studies. This caucus will bring together researchers interested in entrepreneurship from diverse backgrounds with the goal of drawing attention to the classics that are at the foundation of contemporary entrepreneurship research. We hope to spur discussions about fruitful avenues of research explored and unchartered territories yet to be researched for further scholarship.
