    “Understanding Innovation, Entrepreneurial Ventures and Finance in
    Europe and the World”

    European Joint Conference 2017

    Academy of Entrepreneurial Finance (Europe)

    and

    Academy of Behavioral Finance and Economics

    16-17 March 2017 in Stuttgart, Germany
    organized by the University of Hohenheim

    The aim of this conference is to discuss current research related to
    issues surrounding the financing of entrepreneurial businesses and
    innovation, and decision-making of institutions and individuals in the
    context of behavioral finance. Submissions in all areas of
    entrepreneurship, innovation, and behavioral finance and economics will
    be considered. Topics include, but are not limited to:

    - New forms of financing start-ups, young growing firms and innovation
    - Start-ups, young growing firms and innovation in a global context
    - Characteristics of entrepreneurs and investors / Effect on financing
    decisions
    - Business and financial decision making under risk and uncertainty
    - Behavioral portfolio choice of individual and institutional investors
    - Investor sentiment, market anomalies
    - Contribution of different funding sources to innovation and growth
    - Interplay among investors / Complexity of the entrepreneurial finance
    ecosystem
    - Processes of firm entry and exit
    - Sustainable finance and markets
    - The role of trust in investment management, markets, policy, and
    regulation
    - Sources of data on entrepreneurial finance and methodological issues
    - Behavioral finance based financial risk analysis and applications
    - Further issues related to the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation,
    and behavioral finance and economics

    The Second International Conference of the Academy of Entrepreneurial
    Finance – European Desk is promoted by the Institute of Entrepreneurship
    by H.E.R.M.E.S. Universities, the Academy of Behavioral Finance and
    Economics (ABFE), and the research network INEF (Thematic Network
    Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Finance).

    Conference Registration

    To register for the conference at “Early Bird”-rate of 300.00 € please
    register before 31 January 2017. The registration fee for late
    registrants is 350.00 €.

    Ph.D. Workshop

    THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS 11 NOVEMBER 2016.
    A Ph.D. Workshop on Entrepreneurial Finance will be held at the
    University of Hohenheim prior to the conference on 15 March 2017. We
    welcome submissions (extended abstract or full paper) from Ph.D.
    students at any stage of their work. Submissions should be either an
    extended abstract or a full paper. Please indicate your progress toward
    completion of the thesis.

    Special Sessions, Panels or Workshops

    Persons or organizations interested in hosting a special session, panel
    or workshop are invited to submit a letter of interest by 11 November
    2016 to aef2017@uni-hohenheim.de
