The Department of Management and Information Systems at the Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business is seeking to fill a tenure track position in Strategic Management to begin Fall of 2017 at the assistant or associate level. Candidates will be expected to conduct research suitable for publication in top tier journals, teach courses in areas of interest at the undergraduate, masters, or doctoral level, participate in department and school governance activities, and perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in Management or a related field, a record of publication in leading academic journals (Associate level) or evidence of potential to publish in leading academic journals (Assistant level), and a record of service to the profession. In addition, the ideal candidate would have experience teaching Strategic Management courses and have the ability to establish effective relationships with faculty and staff. The Management and Information Systems Department is composed of faculty in the areas of Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, and Information Systems Management. Strategic Management faculty publish in top tier journals including Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, and Academy of Management Journal. The department offers programs at the undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. level.
