Dear colleagues in the ENT division,

For those of you who are somehow (closely or remotely) interested in the topic of open innovation, please consider joining our PDW on "Researching Open Innovation: Opportunities and Challenges" at the upcoming Academy of Management Meeting. It will take place on Friday, August 5, 12:45PM - 2:45PM at Anaheim Marriott in Northwest Marquis Ballroom, and it is co-sponsored by the Entrepreneurship division. A direct link to the session is: http://my.aom.org/program2016/SessionDetails.aspx?sid=10032

Our PDW gathers 20 experts from the field who will be able to present and discuss different aspects related to open innovation. While we generally see open innovation as a distributed innovation phenomenon based on knowledge flows across organizational boundaries, we will apply a broad perspective, and the facilitators will address relevant questions at different levels of analysis, from different angles, and highlighting different methodological approaches. This will therefore be a rather unique opportunity to identify, understand and develop some of the some key challenges as well as the associated opportunities to help your advance research in the context of open innovation.

The PDW will start with an introduction and panel discussion and then move to a round table discussion. Everybody is welcome to join but we encourage you to sign up for the round table part by going to http://www.marcelbogers.com/pdw where you can sign up for your favourite round table and leave a short description of your research interests that will be read and used by the facilitator to guide the discussion. Please register before August 1st and we will notify you before August 5th about who is assigned to which round table. And while we hope you will sign up, attending the round tables is open as long as space permits.

I hope to see many of you in Anaheim!

    Best,
    Marcel
