ACERE (Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research Exchange) is the premier Australian-based annual research conference dedicated to entrepreneurship.  It is designed to be a highly developmental and professionally rewarding experience for all delegates.  Featuring high-calibre researchers from throughout the world, it's a stand-out fixture on the academic and professional development calendar. As usual, we will have high calibre keynotes and PDS discussants, including Melissa Cardon, Mike Wright, Dean Shepherd, Per Davidsson and Pia Arenius.

All up to date news including the abstract guidelines are available on the ACERE Conference website  www.acereconference.com.au

ACERE is organized by the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research (ACE) at Queensland University of Technology.  The conference usually rotates to different locations, involving a local co-host. The 2017 Conference will be held at NAB's 'The Village' - a new innovative space for business customers and community partners to connect, learn and work. The location is in the Docklands in the centre of Melbourne's CBD, and just a 5 minute walk from Melbourne's major transport hub, Southern Cross Station.

We are proud to be co-hosting the 2017 conference with RMIT University.  We also welcome The Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies at the QUT Business School, and The UQ Business School as award sponsors.

As always the ACERE Conference is an annual meeting of entrepreneurship researchers from Australia and around the world – a community of researchers who believe that sharing their current research and their expertise helps build entrepreneurship as a field of research and a force to build a better world.

But also it is a social gathering, of old and new friends, an extended family who have an annual reunion. Come back again this year, or join us for the first time this year – we welcome you with open hearts and minds.

There will be a wide range of informative and stimulating sessions, including:

    • Keynote performances from pre-eminent international scholars - Melissa Cardon and  Mike Wright.   Plus our 'regular' pre-eminent scholars like Dean Shepherd and Per Davidsson, who will be this year joined by Pia Arenius from RMIT.

    • Paper presentations in cognate session streams • Paper development workshops with written and interactive feedback • Doctoral Consortium • Lively networking and social functions

You can be assured that you will extract great value from your attendance and participation in this conference. The track themes will emerge as the abstracts (and later the papers) roll in.

Entrepreneurship is a rapidly evolving and diversifying field – whatever your sub-field of entrepreneurship, your abstract is welcome – but please make sure it observes the abstract submission guidelines.

The abstract submission portal will open on 1 July 2016.  The abstract Deadline is 21 August 2016.

Full Papers invited on the basis of accepted abstracts will be due 1 November (only full papers submitted on or before this date will be double blind peer reviewed, will qualify for awards and will qualify to be nominated for the PDS sessions)

All up to date news including the Abstract guidelines are available on the ACERE Conference website  www.acereconference.com.au
