Introduction
Entrepreneurs and the start-ups play a vital role in sharing market economies. An entrepreneur is a person who takes a risk to start and operate a business. Being an entrepreneur is not everybody's cup of tea. One needs to possess entrepreneurship, which is the ability and willingness to take the risk to develop and operate a business and to serve the needs of a particular group of the society, nation or world. A thriving business typically requires more than just the classic factors of production being land, capital, labor and that is enterprise, the person himself. Enterprise is the ability to use all factors to production to produce goods or services. As such with the spirit of 'Entrepreneurship it allows people to do what they want and to follow their passion. Entrepreneurship is not only important for the business itself rather it plays a major role in the economy of a country.
Entrepreneurs or start-ups are the key determinants for a country's economic growth. The business phenomenon create job opportunities for people. By creating job opportunities, an entrepreneur provides wealth to the people. They tend to start a new business with innovation like providing the best quality product within low price so that people can save their money and get the best product. This strengthens the economy of a country. For this purpose Government also welcomes entrepreneurs to start their business. For instance, in the Asian countries,India has recently initiated its first ever Start-up policy. It aims to boost start-ups in the country and provide momentum to India's growth. Other emerging developing countries such as Malaysia has also thrived on its economy based on the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to strongly promote entrepreneurship and online entrepreneurship as the main flagships of businesses.
Objective of the Book
The discipline covers the essential understanding, knowledge and skills required by the entrepreneurs for new business start-ups in the globalized and digital age. It is important to understand the dynamics of culture and business as significant factors to develop two emergent types of entrepreneurs, i.e. online enterprise and small business start-ups. This book addresses the need to develop enterprising and innovative cultures in business; spotting business opportunities; market demand as the key to commercial viability; importance of knowing your customers; importance of motivation of you and your staff; importance of a well-researched and well-constructed business plan or business idea; staff resources and financial resources ; importance of good market research and essence of market orientation before developing a business plan and finally the implementation of the business plan.
This book will help create the understanding on the concept of 'entrepreneurship' as well as provide strong knowledge on how to inculcate the 'entrepreneurial' competencies and spirit in order to develop the right mindset, culture, and behaviors that are successful in the digital age. Since technological sophistication result in higher development of online businesses or eCommerce, the business players need to develop a different set of skills and strategies. This book helps to provide both aspects such as face-to-face and digital platform to thrive on for start-ups as entrepreneurs. Thus, the main objectives of the book aim at:
1.to explore the business starts-ups and the motivations behind such emerging business platforms in Asia countries
2.to highlight the significance of entrepreneurs in the digital age and the competencies needed for such businesses
3.to understand the business culture, model, and strategies to promote economic growth in the Asian region.

Policy makers, academicians, researchers, post-graduate level students, technology developers, small-medium enterprises, government sectors and multinational corporations will use this book as their main references for understanding the challenges, issues, methods and strategies for building global entrepreneurship and start-ups. Submission Procedure
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before July 15, 2016, an abstract comprising of 350-500 words together with an outline of the chapter proposal clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by August 15, 2016 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by October 15, 2016. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.
