The Managerial Studies Department of the College of Business
Administration of the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking to fill
two tenure-track positions beginning Fall 2007, subject to final budget
approval. These positions will be in the Strategic Management and
Entrepreneurship areas. Rank is open and will depend on qualifications
and experience. We are particularly interested in individuals with the
ability to publish in top-tier journals, teach undergraduate and graduate
courses, and become productively engaged with the Chicago business
community. We also expect that teaching responsibilities will include
support for the capstone experience at UIC. Requirements include an
earned doctorate in strategic management or a related discipline, evidence
of teaching excellence, and research publications that are commensurate
with the rank sought. We are seeking a strong and diverse applicant pool
and encourage women, minorities, veterans, and the disabled to apply. The
department and college are strongly committed to research and work to
provide a supportive research culture for junior faculty. For further
information, please contact Professor Mark Shanley, Management Search
Committee, College of Business Administration (MC 243), 601 South Morgan
Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60607-7123 (e-mail:
mshanley@uic.edu). UIC is
a Research I university located on a 160 acre campus one mile from
Chicagos central business district. Chicago is a world-class city with
outstanding cultural events, theatre, restaurants, museums, sporting
events, and recreational activities. The UIC CBA is AACSB accredited with
2,500 undergraduate, 500 MBA, and 70 Ph.D. students. Please submit a
