Assistant Professor of Management
The Department of Management and Marketing in the Franklin P. Perdue
School of Business at Salisbury University (SU) is accepting
applications for a tenure-track position in Management at the Assistant
Professor rank, beginning August 2007.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in a Management-related field
from an AACSB accredited institution (or ABD nearing completion of
dissertation) with evidence of or potential for high quality teaching
and research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach
Entrepreneurship, as well as Principles of Management. The ability to
teach other courses such as Human Resource Management and/or Strategic
Management is desirable. The normal teaching load is 9 hours per
semester. Candidates' pedagogy is expected to enhance the academic
achievement of diverse learners. Salary and benefits are competitive
with AACSB accredited institutions.
Salisbury University is one of 13 institutions that comprise the
University System of Maryland, and enrolls approximately 7000 students
in four endowed schools. The Perdue School of Business has AACSB
accredited undergraduate and MBA programs. SU is located on Maryland's
scenic Lower Eastern Shore, close to the ocean beaches and the
Chesapeake Bay, and near the metropolitan areas of Washington DC,
Baltimore, Philadelphia. SU has been cited nationally as one of the top
ten public regional universities in the North according to U.S. News and

Kiplinger's magazine.
