Dear All,
The Entrepreneurship Studies Network is supporting the call for abstracts for the 'Critical Perspectives in Entrepreneurship Studies' track at RENT Conference 16-17 November 2016, Antwerp, Belgium. Submissions are encouraged which challenge traditional perspectives in entrepreneurship research, in particular those which advance our understanding through novel and experimental approaches, such as practice, process and historical studies and those which explore social and cultural contexts. The the main topic for this year's conference is on how networks and knowledge transfer can help firms increase their global competitiveness by fostering innovative and entrepreneurial behavior and we encourage submissions which tackle this issue from a critical perspective. Alternatively we also welcome submissions which take a critical perspective on any aspect of entrepreneurship and theories of entrepreneurship.
Deadline for abstract submissions: 15th May 2016. Remember to mark your abstract as 18. Critical perspectives on entrepreneurship when you submit.
All submissions to RENT 2016 are subject to double-blind peer review. Accepted abstracts will be required to submit a full paper by 1st October 2016. The International Small Business Journal is providing an award at RENT 2016 for the best paper challenging the conventional wisdom in entrepreneurship.

The Entrepreneurship Studies Network is committed to supporting experimental and novel approaches that advance understanding of the phenomenon of entrepreneurship and its real-life practices, contexts and impacts. We aim to: Advance the European tradition of research in the broadly defined area of entrepreneurship studies, with an emphasis on real-life practices, contexts and impacts. Create a forum and network supporting the creation of scholarly research that explores socio-economic, historical and cultural contexts, connecting the study of enterprise to real life practices. In addition support research which draws insights form a broad social science and humanities base.
The RENT Conference is organised by the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and Small Business (ECSB). RENT is now firmly established as the premier entrepreneurship research conference in Europe and annually brings together approximately 250 leading academics in this field who present and debate cutting edge research in a wide variety of entrepreneurship related topics.
Best wishes,
