  • 1.  New Adventures... Recommendations for Introduction to Entrepreneurship Textbooks that cover the Business Model Canvas?

    Posted 04-15-2016 02:19

    Greetings to everyone!

I am excited to report that, after 35 years, I am moving back to Michigan in the Fall where I am going to be, among other things, teaching Introduction to Entrepreneurship  at Central Michigan Univ.     Michigan is where I grew up so this is greatJ   However, the move also means adopting to a new teaching environment and all that goes with that.     As I understand it, their (our) curriculum calls for the Business Model Canvas to be introduced in the first course on Entrepreneurship (the one I am teaching)  It has been suggested that I select a text that covers Business Models (Osterwalder's BM Canvas.)

I know of a few texts that discuss Business Models (Barringer & Ireland, 2016) but none that actually present Osterwalder's framework.  Does anyone have a suggestion for a textbook that does that or that comes close?

    Looking forward to the discussionJ

You could use the part of Osterwalder's book that is freely downloadable from web in conjuction with a classic textbook that do not present the framework.

Subject: Re: [ENTREP] New Adventures... Recommendations for Introduction to Entrepreneurship Textbooks that cover the Business Model Canvas?

    Great question John.

The following text was updated in 2015 to include business model canvases, lean canvases, lean startup and customer development.

    Ventures HO!
