Dear ENTREP Colleagues,
We are delighted to offer a free interactive online program that estimates the power to detect cross-level interactions using multilevel modeling. The program performs calculations described in the following article (available at http://mypage.iu.edu/~haguinis/pubs.html):
Mathieu, J. E., Aguinis, H., Culpepper, S. A., & Chen. G. 2012. Understanding and estimating the power to detect cross-level interaction effects in multilevel modeling. Journal of Applied Psychology, 97: 951-966.
This article describes a program in R. But, after receiving dozens of comments that "R is not very user-friendly," we converted the program into a graphic user interface that does not require any knowledge of R. The new program is available at http://mypage.iu.edu/~haguinis/ (click on the Cross-level Interaction Effect Statistical Power Calculator (J. of Applied Psychology, 2012) link on the left.
We hope you will find this tool of use in your quest for cross-level interaction effects!
All the best,
--Herman Aguinis.
