Attend the 2016 SEAANZ Doctoral/ECA Consortium hosted this year on Wednesday 10th August. Melbourne, Australia.
The Doctoral/Early Career Consortium will be held on the morning of the first day of the SEAANZ conference itself and is designed for post-graduate research students and Early Career Academics with a great opportunity to meet policy makers, practitioners and senior academics working in the small business area.
The Consortium will be in the form of an interactive session where you will have the opportunity to present your research and receive valuable feedback from senior academics and peers with a focus on publication strategies. Academic feedback will cover research methods, publishing, and opportunities within academia and industry.

by 5pm Thursday 14 July advising (a) which meal breaks you will be present for, and (b) if you have any dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free).

Topics for 2016 SEAANZ Doctoral/ECA Consortium
Submissions for the workshop may cover any aspect of small business (including but not limited to education, business management, entrepreneurship, sociological and economic perspectives) and can take the form of either:
A Research paper:
Full papers should be no more than 20 pages (12 Times New Roman, double spaced), excluding references but including tables and figures. All papers will be double blind refereed.
Accepted papers, will be published in full in a designated section of the conference proceedings (disk based but with official ISBN number). Authors of papers of sufficient quality will be invited to submit revisions for publication in either the journal of SEAANZ, Small Enterprise Research (http://www.seaanz.org/content/small-enterprise-research-journal-seaanz) or the Research Book series associated with the annual conference theme (http://seaanz.org/content/seaanz-research-book-series).
Or a Report on a Work-in -progress:
A four page (maximum) abstract of a research work in progress, outlining
- The purpose of the research.
- Research questions.
- Population of interest and unit of analysis.
- Potential methodology.
- What is the contribution to
- Policy
- Practice
- Theory
- Current status of your research.
All research student papers and works-in-progress accepted should be presented as a powerpoint or similar 15 minute presentation at the Workshop and will be allocated an experienced discussant and scheduled to maximise feedback opportunities.
Prizes to the total value of $250 will be awarded to the best presentations (if of sufficient quality) in this category.
