The Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies at the University of Leeds is currently seeking a new Lecturer in Enterprise (UK equivalent to Assistant Professor) to join our expanding academic team.
The Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies (CEES) is a subject group of the prestigious Leeds University Business School (Triple Crown - AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accredited). CEES is a dynamic and collegiate academic community with a strong reputation for research based within a top-10 REF Business School and a World Top 100 University with a national triple award winning reputation for excellence in entrepreneurship education.
The Centre has played a key role in the University of Leeds winning the highest accolades entrepreneurship education and student entrepreneurship the UK: The 2015 Times Higher Education Entrepreneurial University of the Year, The 2015 National Business Awards (Duke of York Award for University Entrepreneurship), the 2016 Guardian Award for Student Entrepreneurship and the Small Business Charter Gold Award.
The Centre specialises in delivering interactive research-led entrepreneurship education in the curriculum in group workshops to students from across University Faculties, has a growing portfolio of undergraduate 'with Enterprise' programmes, an innovative accredited 'Year in Enterprise' (business creation placement year), a successful Masters in Enterprise and a high-quality executive education small business growth programme (Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business programme). The Centre is supported by a network of 30 enterprise ambassadors/entrepreneurs-in-residence who provide guest workshops, mentoring and strategic direction as well as the award-winning Spark dedicated business advice and support and InTechnology Student Incubator.
In addition to these exciting innovative teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will be joining a community of academic colleagues with a strong reputation for research with publications in international journals including entrepreneurship education, gender and entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship policy in developing economies, social media and innovation, corporate entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship.
