    2016 Mid-Career Consortium

     

    Call for Participants

    Academy of Management Annual Meeting

    Saturday, August 6, 2016, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

     

    The Entrepreneurship Division will sponsor a Mid-Career Consortium during the 2016 Academy of Management meetings in Anaheim, California.  This exciting event will help Entrepreneurship scholars, who have earned promotion and tenure, develop a strategy for actively managing the next stage of their careers.  The consortium will be highly interactive, featuring Entrepreneurship Division members who have built successful careers in a variety of areas.  These members will help their colleagues understand how to design a strategy to achieve each individual's career goals.

     

    Specific topics addressed in this consortium include:

    • Setting the stage for the next chapter of your career
    • Leading in academia: Administration - Department chair, Dean, Program Director
    • Leading in academia: Book and journal editorships, running conferences
    • The global Entrepreneurship scholar and post-tenure changes in the scholarship landscape
    • The Entrepreneurship teacher and Executive Education
    • Identifying and securing grants
    • Working with doctoral students
    • Service opportunities to the Entrepreneurship Division

     

    Participants will have opportunities to engage in round table discussions to enable them to gather the information each individual needs to help build their career.

    Participation is free of charge for participants and lunch will be provided thanks to The Entrepreneurship Division and Bentley University

     

    The consortium is limited to 40 participants.  To apply, please email Linda Edelman (ledelman@bentley.edu) with "Mid-Career Consortium" as the subject line.  The email should include your intent to participate, your university affiliation, and your contact information.

     

    Your email must be received by July 1, 2016.
