Post-Doctoral Fellow – Entrepreneurship
Come join our entrepreneurial team! The Warrington College of Business Administration (WCBA) at the University of Florida is seeking a post-doctoral researcher who acquired their Ph.D. degree within the past two years. The individual will be appointed for a two year period. The position is focused on scholarly research, teaching and involvement with our vibrant entrepreneurship program. The candidate will have opportunities to collaborate on research projects with faculty and doctoral students in the WCBA. The selected candidate will teach one graduate or undergraduate class per term (three per year). Opportunities are also available to work with our portfolio of entrepreneurial engagement initiatives.
The entrepreneurship program is based in the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI). We pride ourselves on having an exciting entrepreneurial climate with a team of highly motivated scholars, educators and program staff. CEI launched one of the first Masters of Science in Entrepreneurship (MSE) degree programs over a decade ago. We also offer an online version of the MSE, a graduate certificate, MBA concentration, and undergraduate minor in entrepreneurship. With a strong focus on experiential learning, the program includes the Gator Big Idea Business Plan Competition, GatorNest (an entrepreneurial consulting initiative), the Gator Hatchery (a student incubator), the Lean Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program (LEAP), and the Integrated Technology Ventures (ITV) initiative. CEI is the home of the Experiential Classroom, sharing best practices in entrepreneurship education with global faculty; the Disabled Veterans Entrepreneurship Program; the Gator 100 (fastest growing Gator-owned ventures in the world), the Annual Women's Entrepreneurship Symposium, and collaborates with three other universities on the Entrepreneurship Empowerment in South Africa (EESA) Program. We recently hosted the 2015 Annual Conference of the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers.
The Warrington College of Business Administration (WCBA) places a high value on scholarly research and emphasizes quality teaching and diversity. Our academic units are consistently ranked among the top twenty among public universities by U.S. News and World Report, while the Executive MBA program has received a #14 ranking from The Economist, and the online MBA is ranked as one of the world's best by the Financial Times. The WCBA is part of an emerging, high impact eco-system on the campus and in the Gainesville area that is facilitating technology commercialization and new venture start up.
Salary range (twelve months): $65,000 - $75,000.
