Job Description
North Georgia College & State University is currently accepting applications for Director of our MBA program at the Mike Cottrell School of Business. This is an open rank, full-time, tenure-track position in the Cottrell School, an AACSB-accredited program.
North Georgia is a regional university in the University System of Georgia. The Cottrell School offers its BBA program on campuses in Dahlonega and Gainesville, and its MBA program in Cumming Georgia. North Georgia enrolls approximately 6000 students and is located in pristine Dahlonega, one hour north of Atlanta. The region offers abundant cultural and recreational opportunities and an outstanding quality of life.
For full consideration, application should be received by November 5, 2010. Position is open until filled. The proposed start date is July 1, 2011.
Job Duties
Provide leadership for the MBA program; recruit, advise and support our graduate students; manage our graduate facility in Cumming; coordinate graduate assistantships; manage the MBA budget; and support MBA student career development. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the applicant's area of specialization. Provide professional service to the institution and demonstrate excellent communication, instructional and administrative skills as well as the interpersonal skills to work successfully with students, faculty, the broader university and community.
Qualifications
A doctoral degree in any business discipline from an AACSB-accredited university is preferred; other candidates with PhD's from quality programs may be considered. University administrative experience is preferred, candidates that exhibit strong leadership potential may be considered.
