The Doctoral Program is personalized to reflect the research interests of the students, while capitalizing on the strengths of our faculty. Candidates will be offered the opportunity to generate and publish research with faculty mentors and receive active support in conducting their own research.

The programme is highly international and POLIMI PhD graduates are held in high esteem not only in academia and research institutions but also in government and business where their research qualifications are increasingly demanded.

Our Department has a broad commitment to the excellence, distinctiveness and relevance of its teaching and research programmes.

    Academic Requirements

To be deemed academic eligible, the candidate should have obtained a specialised training at the Master of Science level (similar to the 3 + 2 Bologna process).

To fulfil the research requirements of the position, the successful candidate has to be at the Department of Management, Economics, and Industrial Engineering on a regular basis and actively participate in the research activities of the Department.

A committee of experts in the field in question will assess the applications once the public call will close around mid-May.
