Hello All:
I hope everyones semester is finishing up well.
Over the past few years, my colleagues and I have developed and taught two PhD seminars in Entrepreneurship at UA, and I have just wrapped up the initial time through the second one. (We thank Tom Dean for providing us his syllabus, which served as a model for the course). We would appreciate your feedback on either/both seminars. Any suggestions you have for changes/additions would be most welcome. Also, feel free to use sections from either syllabus as you see fit.
Our thought process behind developing the two was to focus primarily topics (e.g., venture capital) in one and theory (e.g., agency theory) in the other. Thus, students entering the program at different times could take the seminars in either order.
The syllabi are posted on my website. Because I will be moving next semester (new contact information as of August 20: Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator, College of Business, Samford University, 800 Lakeshore Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209,
ftlohrke@samford.edu ), I do not know how long the current website will remain active. Consequently, if you could provide feedback in the next few weeks, I would very much appreciate it.
The website is
http://www.cba.ua.edu/~flohrke
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Best regards,
Franz T. Lohrke
