Dear Colleagues,
The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration invites nominations and applications for the Tom W. Olofson Chair in Entrepreneurship. We are interested in scholars who are regarded as thought leaders in the fields of entrepreneurship and/or innovation, defined broadly, and have a distinguished publication record. The candidate must have the capacity to work effectively with faculty across business disciplines as well as firms and entrepreneurs, and an interest in leading further development of our growing entrepreneurship and innovation programs. Ideal candidates will have experience and scholarship that address aspects of new venture creation, as de novo start-ups and/or within established firms.
Chancellor Patrick Gallagher and Dean Arjang Assad are committed to fostering and enabling the University of Pittsburgh's and Katz/CBA's growing leadership in the area of entrepreneurship and innovation. In 2013, the University launched the Innovation Institute to support student entrepreneurship throughout the University, as well as the commercialization of technologies developed by faculty.
Katz/CBA offers an undergraduate major in Entrepreneurship as well as undergraduate and masters-level certificates in Entrepreneurship. Our thriving regional innovation ecosystem offers ample opportunity for research and to enrich curriculum through engagement with the business community.
This Chair is available beginning in July 2016. To ensure full consideration, applications must be received by March 1, 2016. Application materials should be submitted electronically to http://www.katz.pitt.edu/facultyhiring/olofson-chair.php and include a cover letter and curriculum vitae.
Nominations or inquiries should be sent to Dr. Rabikar Chatterjee by email at rabikar@katz.pitt.edu, preferably with "Olofson Chair" in the subject line.
