    Greetings all,

I am in the planning stages of work on the entrepreneurial subtext of late 20th early 21st teenage and young adult fantasy television shows.  I am concentrating on those shows that are centred around one individual or a group of individuals.  For example Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, Angel, and  Deep Space 9 are among my leading contenders.  Within these shows the main protagonists all display elements of the entrepreneurial orientation.  However I doubt that entrepreneurship was high on the writers agenda when they wrote the scripts or the directors minds when they shot the scenes.  Regardless entrepreneurial activity is evident, especially within the shows mentioned above.  There are two avenues in particular here that I wish to develop; one is to simply chart  the instances of  entrepreneurial activity and relate that to societal trends in entrepreneurial attitude, the other is to ascertain if these shows and shows like them have had an influence upon the audience in regard to perceiving entrepreneurial activity as beneficial.

That said is there anyone who is currently doing work in this area,  and is there anyone who may be interested in developing these ideas further.

    Anyway people

    Enjoy

    Kind Regards

    Andrew:
How about the tv show "Dallas"? (you even had "good entrepreneur" (Bobby), "bad entrepreneur" (J.R.) and even "weird entrepreneur" (Cliff) LOL) ---- I'll bet there are TONS of things already written about "Dallas."

And... what about "The Jeffersons" - you have a very successful black entrepreneur (blustery, but ultimately ethical) -I always wanted to plot rates of black self-employment before/during/after that show. You could probably get an interview with the show's star, Sherm Helmsley (ditto for the leads on Dallas).

And I will now quit core-dumping on ENTREP, lol.
    NK

    Entrepreneurially yours,
