The Department of Management in the College of Business at the University
of Missouri-Columbia (MU) invites applicants with strong academic
credentials in strategic management for a tenure track position at the
advanced assistant or associate professor level. Candidates must have
earned a PhD in strategic management or a related discipline, have a
strong record of top-tier publications in the area of strategic
management, and have a demonstrated commitment to such publications. The
candidate hired for this position will be expected to play a major role in
the departments undergraduate and MBA capstone courses, in PhD seminars,
and in the direction of doctoral students.
The College of Business, housed in a three-year-old $29 million building,
consists of 61 full-time faculty members who serve approximately 3,600
undergraduates, 275 masters students, and 40 doctoral students. The
Department of Management consists of fourteen tenure-track faculty members
who share a strong commitment to research and teaching and seek colleagues
who share this commitment. The department includes faculty with expertise
in strategic management, organizational behavior and theory, human
resources, entrepreneurship, management information systems, and
