    Description:
    The Management Department at Texas Christian University invites applications for the Luther Henderson Chair in Leadership. We are seeking candidates who have distinguished records of scholarly accomplishment and clear potential for shaping the Neeley School’s leadership initiatives. In addition to organizational behavior or related leadership studies, candidates having backgrounds in other management disciplines, such as strategy and human resources, also are invited to apply. The Chair holder will be expected to produce high quality research, to be involved in collaborative research efforts, and to enhance the Neeley School’s reputation for scholarship with external audiences. The Henderson Chair holder also will be expected to serve as a catalyst for integrating leadership studies throughout the Neeley School curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and to work collaboratively with other faculty to provide strategic direction and support for the ongoing and developmental activities of the BNSF Next Generation Leadership Program and other Neeley School leadership initiatives.

    Requirements:
    Candidates for the position should possess an earned doctorate in one of the management disciplines or a related area. Expectations for the position include strong evidence of distinguished scholarly accomplishment, reflected by publication in leading academic journals, and significant leadership experience in program development and implementation. Candidates will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and MBA level courses in the areas of leadership as well as other management courses. Evidence of a strong record of excellence in teaching is essential. The salary range is competitive for an endowed chair.

    Applicants should provide a curriculum vita that includes (1) educational achievement, (2) research/publication record, (3) work or other experience, (4) statement of the applicant’s expectations and professional goals, (5) evidence of teaching activity and excellence, (6) other data deemed relevant by the applicant, and (7) three references with addresses, e-mail, and phone numbers.
