Clinical Assistant (or Associate) Professor

The Area of Management, Rawls College of Business at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Texas</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Tech</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place> is seeking applications for a clinical faculty position in management. Candidates with complementary expertise and training in the fields of entrepreneurship and/or leadership are preferred.
RANK & SALARY: Open. Salary is competitive

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Maintain qualification for Clinical Reappointment per applicable College Policy and Procedure Guidelines (as noted below)
- Teach one to two sections of the Organization Management (BA 3305) Course for the Minors Program in each of Fall and Spring Semesters
- Teach additional classes as assigned by the Management Area Coordinator to fulfill teaching requirements under the Clinical (Renewable-term) Faculty Policy (minimum 6 courses per year), including entrepreneurship and/or leadership classes based on interest.
- Coordinate teaching of Organization Management (BA 3305) for the Minors Program
- Work with CPD (the Center for Professional Development – <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Rawls</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">College</st1:placetype></st1:place>) to coordinate professional development offerings in the areas of entrepreneurship and leadership
- Serve as Chief Operating Officer of CEFB (Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business) and ILR (Institute for Leadership Research), which will offer the opportunity for the successful applicant to have a significant impact by: developing cross-campus instructional programs and supervising related student committees, clubs, and events; directing Center operations including staff supervision, coordination with senior faculty including applicable Governing Councils; participating in research teams as interest dictates; and assisting in positioning our Programs in national rankings. It is anticipated that, based upon the experience and interest of the successful candidate, the details of this aspect of the job will be crafted and approved among the applicable stakeholders, including the candidate.
- Assume institutional and academic service duties as may be agreed upon with the Management Area Coordinator (e.g., committee service, and/or national academy service).
- Abide by all TTU policies and procedures applicable to academic faculty.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a doctorate in management or be close to finishing the dissertation; or possess a doctorate in a complementary field with extensive business/ management experience. Individuals with significant previous experience in university-related Center operations, multi-college collaboration (e.g., cross-campus pedagogy development or program implementation), and/or post-secondary educational program administration are especially invited to apply. Must provide evidence of teaching excellence. Clinical faculty shall maintain currency as either academically or professionally qualified under the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International standards:
(1) Academically Qualified - Publication efforts such as to be academically qualified under AACSB requirements, which currently includes refereed journal articles during the immediate past five (5) years. New doctorates have a five-year grace period for meeting this requirement.
(2) Professionally Qualified - Professional requirements, such as to be professionally qualified under AACSB requirements, which includes substantial recent work experience in the specialty, plus current activities such as membership on boards of directors, consulting activities, professional development activities, or other activities that clearly document successful efforts to learn about their specialty and how it is applied in practice.
