Entrepreneurial ecosystems attract increasing interest of researchers and practitioners. Such ecosystems are characterized by entities, which are loosely interconnected in networks and co-evolving capabilities around a shared set of knowledge or skills. Actors in these networks work in a dynamic competitive as well as collaborative environment. A better understanding of entrepreneurial ecosystems promises valuable insights into entrepreneurial activities and their success.

Accordingly, the workshop on Entrepreneurial Ecosystems at the Free University Bozen - Bolzano intents to provide a platform for discussion and knowledge sharing about current research and developments in this emerging field. We invite theoretical and empirical contributions about the role of universities, in entrepreneurial ecosystems, cluster formation, network dynamics, complexity, ecosystem externalities, competition and collaboration and the like.
