e cordially invite submissions to the University Network. The University Network will serve as a forum for focusing on Social Entrepreneurship (SE) as an academic field and has been created through a collaboration of leaders in the field including Ashoka: Innovators for the Public. The network enables the exponential expansion of social entrepreneurship education around the world and stimulates innovation in pedagogy and practice. Through support of nascent and current SE educators, the network will increase the overall number and quality of educators, leading to an increase in the number and quality of students who are exposed to SE principles.
By sharing research – both completed and in progress – members improve the quality, quantity, and relevance of knowledge products on social entrepreneurship. In turn, there will be improvements in the marketing of the concept and field, as well as the understanding of key problems faced by social entrepreneurs and their potential solutions.
We welcome contributions from educators, researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers, including: corporate leaders, social scientists, ethnographers, and anthropologists. Please include a biography page with all submissions which includes contact information.
IMPORTANT DATES
Submission deadline: August 30, 2006
