The Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies at Leeds University Business School (University of Leeds) are pleased to announce that we will host the European Council of Small Business Entrepreneurship Education (3E) Conference from 10-13 May 2016 in Leeds, United Kingdom. The theme for this year's conference is: Being Enterprising: Entrepreneurship, Education and Engagement
Now in its 4th year, the 3E Conference has developed into a leading global forum for the development of new thinking in entrepreneurship education research and practice. Through an innovative and untraditional format, the 3E Conference establishes a new paradigm for entrepreneurship conferences. It offers an exclusive and engaging opportunity for researchers, educators and politicians to debate and exchange their experiences of the major challenges and advances in enterprise education. Unlike more traditional academic events, the conference will focus on problems and questions rather than on ready-made solutions. There are no keynote speakers to tell us the way but we will pave it ourselves in a joint effort!
Following the success of conferences in Denmark, Sweden and Germany, this year there are two calls, one for research papers and the other for practitioner development workshops (PDW). Regardless of the submission, the focus on questions, challenges and problems should be central throughout. All submitted proposals will be double blind peer-reviewed and feedback provided on submissions.

FORMAT
Following the unique format of the conference all sessions, regardless of type, are expected to follow the same guidelines:
- Unplugged – no power point or PC (but whiteboards and flipcharts are provided)
- Emphasis on Discussion - Each session is 40 minutes (maximum 10 minute unplugged presentation and 30 minutes interactive Q&A/discussion)
- All papers and briefings provided for a session will be read by delegates in advance.

Submissions should relate to one of the following sub-themes:
- Entrepreneurship education for non-business students
- Entrepreneurial "classrooms"
- Enterprise education networks, contexts & systems
- Social and civic entrepreneurship education
- Pedagogical theories in entrepreneurship education
- Online and blended-learning apps and approaches
- Engagement, impact and evaluation
- Innovations in Assessment
- Values, Ethics and Critiques of Entrepreneurship Education
- Learning philosophies in entrepreneurship education
- Entrepreneurial Learning, Incubator and Executive Education
- Enterprise in Schools
* RESEARCH PAPER ABSTRACTS
All research papers should address 'Questions we care about'. A Best Research Paper Prize will be awarded for the best question.
The ideal conceptual paper raises an interesting question, and through dealing with this question, arrives at a richer and possibly transformed challenge, which helps us perceive the question in a whole new way that we have not thought about before.
The ideal empirical paper formulates a question that needs to be researched and through the empirical analysis finds that the world may be much richer than we thought
* PRACTITIONER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS (PDW) PROPOSALS All PDW Proposals should address 'Questions we care about'. A Best PDW Prize will be awarded for the best question.
Sessions should focus on an issue in practice, such as the development and delivery of enterprise and entrepreneurship courses, pedagogic practice and learner communities, programme development and entrepreneurial learner journeys, extra-curricular initiatives, education strategy or stakeholder engagement. The purpose of the session is to share practice and provide opportunities for discussion around the track theme.
It is particularly important that presenters include approaches that will encourage interaction and will draw out contributions from the audience. As this is a research conference, we are interested to receive submissions that present examples of practice that have been informed by published research, however this is not an essential requirement for submission.
