    Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We are asking for your help in identifying a few exceptional students for the doctoral programs at Boston University's Questrom School of Business. Our programs focus on studying the behavior of organizations and markets, drawing on and contributing to knowledge in the foundational disciplines of economics, sociology and social psychology. A key characteristic of our program is close student-faculty collaboration and coursework in economics, psychology, and sociology.  We are looking for potential students interested in joining our community.

Across the Organizational Behavior, Strategy and Information Systems departments we are deeply committed to the highest level of scholarly work, although we remain diverse in our methodological and theoretical perspectives. Our research relies on qualitative and/or quantitative data to gain a deeper understanding of organizational dynamics at various levels of analysis and to advance multiple theoretical traditions. Our research also spans a variety of topics, including ethical decisions, career trajectories, interpersonal relations, sustainability, motivation, occupational cultures, creativity, organizational leadership, change initiatives, knowledge sharing, platforms, standard setting, innovation dynamics, and public policy. Such varied interests are reflected in the range of outlets in which we publish, including the American Economic Review, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, American Sociological Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, Management Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Organization Science, Psychological Bulletin, Personnel Psychology, Rand Journal of Economics, and Information Systems Research, to name a few.

Doctoral coursework largely is tailored to a student's research interests.  In addition to courses offered by BU's School of Business, students can opt for courses offered by any other faculty on campus. Students in our program receive tuition remission, a generous stipend ($30,000 per year for 5 years), health insurance, and access to research funds.

The Organizational Behavior ladder faculty includes: Michel Anteby, Lloyd Baird, Michelle Barton, Fred Foulkes, Karen Golden-Biddle, Tim Hall, Emily Heaphy, Bill Kahn, Kristin Smith-Crowe, Erin Reid, Bess Rouse, and Amin Yan.

The Strategy and Innovation ladder faculty includes: Iain Cockburn, Kira Fabrizio, Jeff Furman, Stine Grodal, Siobhan O'Mahony, Tim Simcoe and Rosemarie Ziedonis.

The Information Systems ladder faculty includes: Paul Carlile, Chris Dellarocas, Ben Lubin, Nachiketa Sahoo, Jesse Shore, Marshall Van Alstyne, N. Venkatraman, Dylan Walker and Stephanie Watts.

Faculty members from other BU faculties (e.g., Emily Barman, Alya Guseva, and Ashley Mears in BU's sociology department) can also support our students.

The deadline for applications is January 11, 2016. Please refer your interested students to our PhD Program website: http://www.bu.edu/questrom/graduate/graduate-programs/phd/
