The School of Management seeks to make three senior level (Professorial) appointments in strategy, international business, entrepreneurship and/or innovation, and an additional Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in this area.
These appointments follow the University's recent strategic investment in these areas, building up a significant research and teaching profile. Over the past two years, over 10 new faculty have joined the University of Bath to strengthen this group, and greatly expand its course offerings in this area. The new appointment will build on this strong momentum.
We are looking for collegial individuals keen to join our vibrant group to advance the research frontier in strategy, international business, entrepreneurship and/or innovation. In addition to the research role, the candidate will contribute to our range of highly rated undergraduate and postgraduate offerings, including the MBA and the newly launched MSc in Entrepreneurship and Management. Senior Lecturer you should be able to demonstrate an existing portfolio of international research publications, evidence of grant funding, and/or an emerging reputation for engagement with practice. For Lecturer you should hold, or be close to the completion of, a PhD with an emerging publication record. You should also demonstrate the potential for delivering excellent teaching, winning grant funding, and engaging with practice.
The posts will be based in the new Strategy and Organization Division, which includes Rob Briner, Andrew Brown, Dimo Dimov, Yiannis Gabriel, Nick Kinnie, Michael Meyer, Ammon Salter, Juani Swart, Edmund Thompson, Russ Vince among its staff. The S&O publishes in leading general management outlets, such as Organization Science, Organization Studies, Journal of Management Studies and Academy of Management Review, but also core IB, entrepreneurship and innovation outlets, such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, and Research Policy. Members of the group are active contributors to the academic community: editing journals, taking up leadership positions in professional bodies, and supporting and training new researchers.
