We are seeking a candidate with research in entrepreneurship, and interest in innovation and/or franchising. The successful candidate will also teach a variety of entrepreneurship courses. Involvement in some of the CIEF programs such as student clubs, pitch and business plan contests, conferences, speaker series, freshman entrepreneurship cohorts and a variety of student run businesses is desired. The CIEF is an endowed, transdisciplinary center of the College of Business Administration, with faculty members from the areas of Marketing, Management, and Economics. Faculty associated with the CIEF are highly productive researchers. Faculty engage in significant grant funded research and form partnerships with other related centers such as the Center for Collaboration Studies and the Nebraska Business Development Center. Other research opportunities arise from the most technologically advanced Consumer and Applied Behavioral Labs in the country. CIEF faculty have papers at top journals such as AMJ, JOM, SMJ, Research Policy and include authors of Best Papers at this year's AoM conference.

Omaha is home to the nationally known BigOmaha entrepreneurship conference and each year the CIEF hosts the largest collegiate conference in the Midwest. Our Collegiate Entrepreneur's Organization has won many national awards including Best Student Startup two of the last three years.
Offering both a major and minors in Entrepreneurship, the mission of the CIEF is to develop an entrepreneurial mindset in students across the university. New hires will have the opportunity over time to assist in the development of programs and classes that extend to fields of engineering, arts, and sciences. Currently, CIEF offers joint programs with Construction Management and BioSciences, with plans to partner with Music, Biology and Gerontology. Additionally, Lean Startup classes attract students from across the campus and over 300 community members volunteer to serve as mentors. The new hire will also have the option to participate with an Entrepreneurial Living-Learning community, a student-run restaurant, and a co-working / incubator space.
