The new Shenzhen International Business School is located on Shenzhen University campus in the heart of Shenzhen; the city has been the leading economic zone underpinning the unprecedented economic growth in China over the past 35 years. Shenzhen University is committed to provide its full support to the school as it strives to build a leading international business school not only in China and Asia, but around the world. It will have a defining international ethos and an English language curriculum. In seeking to forge a unique and clearly differentiated reputation the school will seek candidates to build a new academic group focused around key issues of significance to a modern, dynamic and innovative Shenzhen and many other like-minded cities in China and abroad. In particular, the school will focus on finance, data management, entrepreneurship and innovation, digital marketing and design and creativity; these disciplines will form crucial building blocks in the educational environments of these leadership cities in the coming decades.

Full-Time and Part-Time Appointments:

Shenzhen International Business School is seeking highly talented individuals who wish to be considered for appointment at assistant professor, associate professor and full professor positions in the above disciplines. The University welcomes applicants of diverse background from around the world to join us as we lay the foundations of the new school during the University's 32nd anniversary.

Appointments may be made at all ranks. Tenure track appointments are open to faculty members who can demonstrate sustained excellence in teaching and research and may be made at assistant, associate and full professor levels. Appointments may also be made on term contract. Research track appointments are also available for individuals who wish to focus on fundamental research of exceptional quality. Teaching track and practice track appointments are available to capture the talents of individuals with exceptional teaching talent and those with considerable business expertise and/or professional skills.

Candidates should have or expect to complete a PhD by September, 2016 in one of the above disciplinary areas and a research record or interest in entrepreneurship, strategy, innovation, product design and development, data management, information system management, or finance would be highly valued. The successful candidates will be expected to conduct research and teach in MBA and/or MSc programs. Candidates seeking tenured or senior fixed contract positions should demonstrate a capacity to publish research in the leading academic or managerial journals and have a record of teaching excellence.
