The Department of Management invites nominations and applications for the position of Regular, Limited-Term Instructor.
Position Description: Reporting to the Management Department Chair, the Regular, Limited-Term Instructor is required to have a master's degree and relevant industry work experience. The expectation of this position is teaching courses in
Entrepreneurship. The teaching load is 4 classes each semester (Fall and Spring) beginning Fall 2015. All limited-term positions are non-tenure track, academic (10 month) year appointments. Appointments are for one year only, although there is the possibility of reappointment based upon satisfactory performance, should funding permit. (All reappointments are made on a one year basis.) The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications:
• Master's (e.g., MBA) degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Management
• Three years of relevant industry or consulting work experience in Management
• Excellent verbal or written communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment without assistance from the institution
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to teach via web-based instruction
• Demonstrated interest in ongoing professional development within the discipline
• Evidence of above-average teaching ability
• Professional work experiences in the area of Entrepreneurship
Screening of applications begins July 20, 2015, and continues until the position is filled. The preferred position starting date is August 1, 2015. A complete application consists of a letter addressing the qualifications cited above; a curriculum vitae; and the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses of at least three professional references. Other documentation may be requested. Only complete applications and applications submitted electronically will be considered. Finalists will be required to submit to a background investigation.
