  • 1.  Call for book chapters: “Entrepreneurship and Management in an Islamic Context”

    Dear distinguished colleagues,

    We would like to cordially invite you to consider contributing a chapter to a forthcoming book entitled "Entrepreneurship and Management in an Islamic Context".


    The book will be edited by:


    ·         Veland Ramadani, South East European University, Tetovo, Macedonia

    ·         Léo-Paul Dana, Montpellier Business School, France

    ·         Shqipe Gërguri-Rashiti, American University of Middle-East, Kuwait

    ·         Vanessa Ratten, La Trobe University, Australia

     

    The book will be published by SPRINGER



    Subject Coverage

     

    Suitable topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

     

    •          Islam and innovation activities
    •          Islam and risk management
    •          Islam and financing sources of entrepreneurial ventures
    •          Islam and business performance
    •          Entrepreneurial intentions of Muslims
    •          Islam and gender issues in entrepreneurship and business
    •          Islamic entrepreneurship and business education
    •          Islamic entrepreneurship and business and economic growth
    •          Islam and social entrepreneurship
    •          Islam, ethics and social responsibility

     

    We welcome contributions that deal with these and related issues from a variety of theoretical and empirical perspectives. We particularly encourage submissions with a country-based focus. Contributions to this book may take a range of forms, may focus on different levels of analysis, and may employ both quantitative and qualitative approaches.

     

    Submission Guidelines

     

    ·       Submission Deadline:     October 1, 2015. We welcome earlier submissions.

    o    First round of review for November 15, 2015

    o    Second round for December 31, 2015

    o    Delivery to Springer: February, 2016

    ·         Format of the citations: Harvard Reference System  

    ·         Length: The book chapter should be approximately 5,000-6,000 words including any figures, tables and graphs

    ·         No. of authors: up to 4 co-authors

    ·         Review process: All submissions will be subject to in-depth review.

    ·         Publication: Late 2016.
