    Dear Colleagues,

Everybody talks about the need for longitudinal data – we are collecting them!

I would like to bring your attention to the PDW on ongoing PSED projects:

Scheduled: Saturday, Aug 8 2015,  10:15AM - 12:45PM at Vancouver Convention Centre in Room 215
    Program Session #: 316 | Submission: 11990 | Sponsors: ENT, OMT

The Panel Study of Entrepreneurial Dynamics (PSED) research protocol involves identifying representative samples of pre-profit ventures and tracking progress until they are abandoned or reach initial profits. This empirical approach has provided the potential for exploring the core issues in entrepreneurship research: systematic descriptions of the mechanisms leading to new venture creation in representative national samples.

As of 2015, PSED projects have been implemented in 19 countries and there are ongoing data collection initiatives in Australia, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Spain, Switzerland, and the U.K.

The session will provide a review of the current status of each of these projects, discuss opportunities for research and further collaboration among the ongoing projects, review the impact of this international research program, and conclude with an open discussion of future opportunities and challenges in research applying the PSED research protocol.
