Attention All Early Career Faculty and Doctoral Candidates at the Dissertation Stage
Reviewer Workshop Opportunity at Academy of Management (ICW)
Sunday, August 9, 2015, 9:00-11:30 a.m., English Bay Room, Hyatt Regency Vancouver
Spaces are limited and preregistration is required (by June 24th).
Participants who complete the workshop will be given "preferred status" for reviewing at Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice and an electronic certificate of completion that they can share with editors at other journals for which they may want to review.
Pre-registration is required by contacting Ray_Bagby@baylor.edu not later than June 24, 2015. Registrants will receive a manuscript to review and an evaluation form; the evaluation form must be returned by July 15, 2015 and is a prerequisite for attendance/successful completion of the workshop.
This ET&P workshop is designed to strengthen participants' commitment and ability to do high-quality developmental reviews and to enhance their skills in writing such reviews. In the first part, panelists will describe how to prepare for, organize, and write high-quality developmental reviews. In the second part, participants will receive written feedback on reviews that they submitted prior to the conference and talk with panelists in small groups about how to improve their reviews.
The workshop is appropriate for PhD candidates at the dissertation stage and early career faculty and will be led by journal editors and recipients of the journal's Outstanding Reviewer Award, including Candy Brush, Friederike Welter, Jim Combs, Thomas Keil, Franz Kellermans, Geoff Kistruck, Sophie Manigart, Don Neubaum, Wouter Stam, Erik Monsen and others. A continental breakfast will be available.
Regards,
