In January 2016, the University of Vermont School of Business will be hosting the 4th Annual Family Enterprise Case Competition in Burlington, Vermont. This is a three day competition with 24 teams from around the world competing at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels. Teams are made up of 3 students and a faculty advisor. Each team will analyze and present at least 3 different family business cases over the Thursday to Saturday event.
Every year, this unique and exciting event is attended by over 200 academics, family enterprise leaders, industry experts and high achieving students from some of the leading universities with robust family business programs. For more information:

REGISTRATION FOR 4th ANNUAL FECC 2016 IS NOW OPEN*
If interested in competing, please complete the following short survey:
Teams of 3 students and one faculty advisor are expected to arrive by noon on 14th January (Thursday) for welcome lunch and division draws.
All teams will compete in the following three cases:
| Jan 14 (Thur.) | 7 day pre-arrival case |
| Jan 15 (Fri.) | 4 hour controlled case |
| Jan 16 (Sat. morning) | 3 hour controlled case |
| Division Finalists will compete in a fourth case: Jan 16 (Sat. afternoon) | 2 hour controlled case |
TEAM APPLICATION & SELECTION PROCESS:
The FECC 2016 Organizing Committee will use the following process to select and confirm the competing universities for this event:
1. Established Family Business Research Presence. Universities with established curriculum and research in the area of Family Business will be given priority in the team selection process.
2. Established Case Competition Programs. Universities with established case competition experience evidenced with active participation in similar events will be given greater consideration.
3. Articulated FECC Preparation Outline. The interest registration form will ask universities to outline how they will prepare their students for this competition.
4. Previous FECC Participation. Consideration will be given to returning FECC teams.
All decisions of the Organizing Committee are final.
