The Sam M. Walton College of Business is one of the fastest growing colleges in the region and has a current enrollment of nearly 5000 students. The University of Arkansas completed a recent fundraising campaign that raised over one billion dollars in private contributions, with the Walton College receiving two hundred and twenty million dollars in gifts and endowments. A new capital campaign is underway. Funds from the campaigns have been used to establish several scholarships, endowed chairs, summer research support, and to install state of the art classroom technology in the College.  The College is located on a four building business campus including the Walton College building, housing most undergraduate and PhD education, Willard Walker Hall, home of our graduate programs, the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development, and the J.B. Hunt Transport Center for Academic Excellence, site of our state-of-the-art behavioral research lab.  In 2012 U.S. News and World Report recognized the University of Arkansas as one of its 10 "up and coming" public universities. The 2014 U.S. News and World Report ranked the Walton College's undergraduate program 27th among all public universities, and our college is among the top 50 of all public and private undergraduate business schools in the US. Our full-time MBA program was ranked 30th and our Executive MBA program was ranked 32nd among all public universities in the 2014 U.S. News and World Report rankings. In 2013 our full-time MBA program was ranked 11th nationally by Bloomberg Business Week in terms of ROI. Our full-time MBA program also has the highest placement rate at graduation of any MBA program in the US. Our management department was tied for 31st in the most recent Texas A&M list of Management Department Productivity Rankings.

We are located in Fayetteville, which offers an idyllic rural/urban mixed environment and is nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains.  The area is part of the rapidly growing Northwest Arkansas Region with a population of about 500,000. A 2012 Forbes study placed the Northwest Arkansas area as 19th on its list of the top places for business and careers; a 2012 Milken Institute study of metropolitan areas placed our area as #41 among best performing cities.  Several other recent rankings have identified the area as among the best places to live in the US.  The Fayetteville region boasts an outstanding public school system, a low unemployment rate, and a low crime rate. Growth in the region has been propelled by the presence of large corporations such as Wal-Mart, J.B. Hunt, and Tyson Foods. In addition, the area has emerged as a major hub of Wal-Mart retail vendors, providing many job opportunities in the region. The Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport offers non-stop flights to 14 major US cities. The area features a variety of outdoor recreational activities with excellent hiking and canoeing opportunities. The area also features many cultural amenities including two symphony orchestras, an outstanding regional theater group and the world-class Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
