Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
of Free Enterprise
Oklahoma State University is actively seeking highly qualified candidates for a tenured/tenure track position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. OSU is a comprehensive land-grant institution that is internationally recognized for its instruction, research, and outreach programs. The academic department will be dependent on the education and professional experiences of the successful applicant. The successful applicant will also be appointed as a Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise. The Institute is a university-wide, multi-disciplinary institute, under the auspices of the Provost & Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, that serves as the focus for OSU teaching and research on principled entrepreneurship, regulation, markets, public policy and the role of business in a free society.
Teaching and research will primarily be related to the study of free enterprise. Teaching and mentoring of undergraduates is a major role of the position. In addition, the position will regularly participate in the Institute’s activities, such as public lectures, research colloquiums, Visiting Fellows programs, PhD Student Fellowship programs, etc. The anticipated start date is August 2015.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess or will soon possess a doctorate degree in a discipline relevant to free enterprise, a record of scholarly productivity commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience, and potential for excellence in teaching.
