Due to employee retirement, the University of Southern Maine's School of Business invites applications for two full-time, academic year (September to May) Lecturers in Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship (ICE), to begin in either September 2015 or January 2016. The length of the initial appointment will be for one academic year with expected reappointment based on performance and mutual agreement as a renewable contract. Full-time Lecturers typically teach four courses per academic semester. One position includes a leadership role in building the ICE program for which a course release may be available.
The primary responsibilities of each position include, but are not limited to, undergraduate and potentially graduate teaching in the School's Entrepreneurship concentration; building and teaching in our new ICE program; conducting applied research; engaging with the local business community; advising; and placing/supervising of interns. Involvement in department, school, university, and community service is also expected.
The primary teaching needs are in courses such as Market Opportunity Analysis, Entrepreneurship and Venture Creation, Managing the Growing Entrepreneurial Venture, and other courses that support the ICE program. Anticipated salary range is mid to high 60's.

Qualifications:
Required:
· Terminal degree or a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship or a related field; degree must be completed by date of employment.
Preferred:
· Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
· Experience starting ventures.
· An interest in applied research in ICE with the business community.
· Experience and/or interest in community engagement.
· Evidence of commitment to diversity, student success and active learning.
