The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University invites applications for a full time non-tenure track Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Professor of Practice (rank will be based on qualifications) in our Management and Organizations group in New York City, with a start date of July 1, 2015.
This position is based at the New York City campus, although some teaching may be done in Ithaca. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Management or a related field, and a record of outstanding MBA teaching at a top-30 MBA program. Applicants are sought with teaching interests both in management generally, and entrepreneurship, technology management, and innovation specifically. Responsibilities of the position include teaching basic and advanced courses in management, entrepreneurship, and innovation/technology at the MBA and Ph.D. levels, and service to the School.
Johnson offers MBA, Accelerated MBA, Executive MBA, non-degree Executive Education, and Ph.D. programs. Its MBA programs are consistently ranked in the top 20. Faculty members in the Management and Organizations group conduct research on diverse topics using a variety of research methods. Current tenure-track faculty members are Ya-Ru Chen, James Detert, Glen Dowell, Olga Khessina, Elizabeth Mannix, Christopher Marquis, Kathleen O'Connor, Wesley Sine, and Isaac Smith. This group is expected to grow over the next several years.

As noted above, this faculty position is based in New York City at the Cornell Tech campus, with expected regular interactions with faculty at the Ithaca campus. The Cornell Tech campus is located in temporary facilities in the Google building in Manhattan, prior to its permanent home on Roosevelt Island. The campus will serve as a focal point for the city's tech ecosystem, accelerating existing sectors of its economy, and driving the formation of new technology businesses through close ties to customers and unique domain knowledge.
