INSTRUCTOR IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Warrington College of Business Administration seeks an individual with a passion for developing the next generation of entrepreneurs. This is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position for an individual with a proven record of entrepreneurial accomplishment (position # 00029602). The position involves a mix of teaching and high-impact service activities within the nationally recognized entrepreneurship program at the University of Florida.
The selected individual will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in our entrepreneurship curriculum. Further, they will work closely with the outreach efforts of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Examples of duties related to these outreach efforts include working with the campus-wide UF Big Idea Competition, assisting student teams in our Gator Hatchery, coaching teams entered into regional and national competitions, directing students in the Entrepreneurial Internship Program, and providing direction and assistance to delegates participating in community-based programs such as our disabled Veterans Entrepreneurship Program and the Gator 100. The position requires expertise in the application of tools, concepts, frameworks, and pedagogical approaches to the development of innovative, scalable business concepts and the successful launch of new ventures. Expertise in working on entrepreneurial opportunities with faculty and students from a diverse array of disciplines, as well as with practitioners, is highly valued. A master's degree or higher qualification is required. Applicants are encouraged to provide evidence of entrepreneurial accomplishments, teaching potential, and high impact industry engagement related to entrepreneurship. The individual selected will join a world-class team of scholars and educators in the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Florida.
The initial appointment will be for up to three years, and is renewable subject to annual review. It is anticipated that the candidate will begin working no later than August 15, 2015. Salary is competitive.
